Sometimes, you just want something sweet.
I’m trying to decrease the sugar my kids consume and increase their nutrition…but I’m tired and/or lazy. (Chronic fatigue, yo!)
My latest sneaky chef/Jessica Seinfeld food hack: adding 1/2-1 cup organic pumpkin, a couple teaspoons of finely ground flax, and an extra egg to gluten-free brownie mix. I also usually add 1/2 cup of Enjoy Life chocolate chips, because…chocolate.
It’s not a huge boost, but you are adding 10 or 12 grams of fiber and big serving of beta carotene. And blunting your guilt just a smidge.
